Abi will capture the magic of your special day on canvas! The completed painting is a gift that is cherished for generations. If your event has passed, a painting can still be created using your photographs. Whether she's painting the ceremony "I Do's" or first dance as a married couple, guests love to watch the painting evolve throughout the night. She interacts with them, even encouraging guests to peek over her shoulder & take pictures as the scene unfolds!

What is live wedding painting and why do we need it?

Well I am glad you asked! Live wedding painting is a trend that has taken off within the last five years and involves a commissioned artist capturing a pre-discussed scene, or object, on a canvas then painting it in person day of the wedding.

So why do you need it? Live wedding painting does really great things for many people. One, it provides quiet entertainment in a formal environment and adds an extra special touch of class and beauty. Two, it gives opportunity for community and sparks conversation for those who may shy from the dance floor or large crowds. Three, you and your guests will get to take with you a one of a kind memory of experiencing a live fine art painting that will be hung and cherished for years to come. And four, you can use the digital image of your painting for thank you cards or one year anniversary updates!

Every wedding is different and pricing will vary based on needs and wants. However, I do have a three tier structure based on canvas size (these do not include framing) that can get you started. (Additional costs may include but are not limited to: travel, lodging, meals, and airfare.)

How do we book you and start collaborating for our wedding day?

First things first, I need to know your date! Booking six months to a year out is ideal especially for prime wedding seasons such as spring and fall. As soon as I receive an email with your date and confirm availability we can move forward to scheduling a phone consultation. In our consult we will discuss all details regarding your art piece and what my part in your day will look like. Also any other questions you may have for me at that time. If you are working with a wedding coordinator I will be handling the majority of those day of details with them.

After the consultation I will send you a contract via email to sign and date along with a request for a 50% non refundable retainer invoice. Both will need to be returned as soon as possible in order to secure your date. The remainder of the payment will be sent to you via a separate invoice and will be due 3 weeks prior to your wedding.

When will my painting be done and how will it be delivered?

You beautiful painting will be taken back to my home studio to finish details and to be properly sealed before being delivered. Depending on your location you can expect either a hand delivery done by yours truly within 3 to 4 weeks post event OR, if you live over 30 miles outside of the DFW area your painting will be shipped to you. All of this will be discussed in the consult and shipping costs will be added to the final invoice if need.
